It’s football season and while I’m ridiculously, and perhaps selfishly, excited about it, I worry about the players, coaches, and staff. COVID is still a serious problem. I know that my soccer club gets tested twice a week. I know the NFL is testing almost daily. I know very little about what the NCAA is doing to protect their young players
These athletes love what they do. From all the social media of athletes I follow, it seems that they want to play. Good for them. I still worry.
For me, football brings with it a sense of normalcy that’s lacking while I’m still quarantining at home for the most part. I feel selfish for wanting them to play. In spite of it all, I was up at the crack of dawn this morning to watch my soccer team play. I’ll be watching my NCAA team play tonight and my NFL team tomorrow.
It makes me happy to watch them. It makes me think that maybe we might eventually get back to something resembling normal. I’m thankful that the athletes, coaches, staff and referees feel that they’re able to do what they love to do. I wish them the best.
With all of that said…
Go Gooners!

Guns up! Wreck ‘em Tech!

The Dallas Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl! (I start off every season with this attitude, okay? Okay.)

In book news, round one of edits have been completed on book one. We’re now in round two and I couldn’t be happier with how the story I penned is becoming something worth reading. With each edit, it gets better and better. I’m so excited about it.
My editor has helped me so much. Hiring him is the best decision I could have made to move me along this self-publishing journey. Worth it!
As this is my first time going through anything like this, he’s guided me with professionalism and patience. He answers every question and has taught me some tricks of the trade which I’m now applying to my second completed manuscript and will continue to use in the third book that’s already 15K words in.
I’ve designed a cover for the book that will be revealed soon. Now I’m working on social media art to help promote the book everywhere online. It’s exciting!
Additionally, Batman is designing a website for me that will be up and running soon. I’m really lucky that I married someone who knows how to do this kind of thing and that he’s willing to spend time on it for me. Very sweet, Batman. Very sweet. I owe you one… or five.
Last, but not least, or maybe it’s actually least… Facebook has given me such a headache lately (yes, they disabled me again because they don’t think I’m me) that I’m thinking about giving up on it. As it is, you can follow my more active (and less frustrating) social media accounts on Instagram and Twitter if you’d like. I’d love to have you!
Sending love and positive vibes out into the universe. Be kind to one another, folks!
